CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: SPORTS REFeRENCE

Can We attract talent through diversity & inclusion initiatives?

Operating at the intersection of sports and tech, the Sports Reference team was 100% male and 100% white for years.

But as they prepared for a period of rapid growth in 2020, leaders within the organization wanted systems and structures in place to ensure they were attracting diverse talent and driving retention by building an inclusive culture where everyone felt a sense of belonging.

Sports Reference enlisted Bossed Up to design and deliver a custom DEI training program that integrated their company’s core values and took a systematic approach to meaningfully move the needle on DEI objectives.

The discussion struck a chord with all of our guests, whose positions in their companies range from mid-level to leadership. Everyone walked away with new skills.

— Angela Riordan, Teknion

She has the total package — a great writer and thinker, a compelling speaker (both in person and on camera), and beyond that, she's just a nice person. Her energetic attitude is infectious and she always brings her real, authentic self to whatever she's doing. I can, without hesitation, highly recommend Emilie for any teaching or speaking event. She brings impact.

— Jake McKiernan, LinkedIn Learning

The insight shared was actionable just as promised, and our guests all left feeling energized, inspired and empowered to begin making the changes needed to sustain their ongoing success.

— Carryl Pierre-Lewis, Fullscreen

Emilie spoke to over 400 women at Google in San Francisco and did an amazing job of articulating the importance of speaking assertively at work. The feedback from attendees was outstanding! I highly recommend Emilie to all women in tech and engineering, who can have a tough time finding their voice.

— Mahak Sharma, Google SF

Not only does Emilie have a world of knowledge, but she does so in one of the most fun, engaging ways I've seen! Everything Emilie suggests is evidence-based and she gives concrete examples for how to implement new tactics into everyday life. I've rarely seen other speakers achieve this balance of expertise and relatability. Emilie is the real deal.

— Sarah Overmyer, Indeed

Emilie is a BOSS! What an inspiration she was to our colleagues! She beams with encouragement and wisdom for all ages and levels.

— Amber Walker, AMEX
